MICHELE BRENTEGANI

MICHELE BRENTEGANI

Passionate Craftsman

Michele Brentegani is a young man who as self-taught has managed to create a space for himself among the Italian pipe makers.

The pipe, this arcane tool for smoking tobacco, instantly attracts him like a magnet, becoming one of the most important things in his life over time.

He started by attending several workshops with Italian pipe masters, who guided him from the creation of the first holes, passing through the classic forms, to the definition of a personal style.

“Most of his creations have immediately recognizable characteristics, they have tapered, subtle, impalpable shapes. They are light pipes where, through their original and refined movements, it is possible to extrapolate the ancient and primitive soul of the pipe and its origins.
The executive technique, superfine and refined, leaves nothing to chance; the attention to detail is constantly appreciable in each of his works. His brilliant dexterity and passion was certainly inherited from his grandfather, a master of work and life, a lover of slow smoking and research.
The combinations he uses with the bamboo torch and the cumberland or ebonite mouthpieces are spectacular.
His pipes hardly exceed 30-35 grams in weight and this is no small feat.
Having his own pipe is like breathing a different air, going beyond and getting lost in a timeless smoke … try to believe. “
